I. Definition
Ceramics are generally made by taking mixtures of clay, earthen elements, powders, and water and shaping them into desired forms. Once the ceramic has been shaped, it is fired in a high temperature oven known as a kiln. Often, ceramics are covered in decorative, waterproof, paint-like substances known as glazes.
Its main raw materials are natural silicate minerals (such as clay, quartz, etc.), so with glass, cement, enamel, refractories and other industrial raw materials, which are all belong to the "silicate industry" category.
II. Distribtion
At present China, Italy, Spain, Brazil, India, Malaysia, Turkey and Indonesia are all major producer countries of ceramics.
III. Multipurpose use of Ceramic waste
Ceramic production is a highly energy consumption and pollution industry, in addition to consume a lot of coal, hydropower and other resources, in the production and transportation process will produce a large number of ceramic waste. Ceramic waste mainly includes waste, waste glaze and burned waste.
Ceramic waste has a certain volcanic ash activity, which can improve the mechanical properties of autoclaved aerated concrete products. If we use chemical gas to prepare aerated concrete products with ceramic waste, fly ash, lime and cement, the environmental problems can be solved and the utilization ratio of ceramic waste can be improved effectively.
The best formula design and results of B06 autoclaved aerated concrete were prepared by scientific experiments and research. The results are shown in Table 1 below:
formula | ceramics powders | Lime | Cement | FGD gypsum | fly ash | ration of water to material | Compressive strength | dry density |
1 | 39% | 17% | 20% | 3% | 21% | 0.56% | 3.8 | 572 |
Using ceramic tail mud to instead of 40% of the quartz sand (the results obtained better) to prepare autoclaved aerated concrete block, the main design formula is shown in Table 2 below:
formula | ceramics powders | Cement | Lime | Quartz Sand | Gypsum | ration of water to material | Compressive strength | dry density |
2 | 22% | 24% | 15% | 33% | 6% | 0.71 | 4.2 | 600 |
IV. Project Application:
In October 2013, Jiangxi Gao'an Guangyuan Ceramic Materials Co., Ltd. and KEDA SUREMAKER reached an agreement with an annual output of 300,000 m³ of gas line, and then officially put into operation.
In September 2014, Shandong HeYue ecological new materials technology Co., Ltd. and KEDA SUREMAKER reached an agreement with an annual output of 300,000 m³ block and panel production line. With advanced technology, high-quality equipment and caring services, Shandong HeYue Company has become a high-quality model line.
V. Appendix
Jiangxi Gao'an Guangyuan Ceramic Materials Co., Ltd. is located in Xinjie Town, Jiangxi Province (Jiangxi Province building ceramics industry base), which was registered in 2007 with capital of 13 million RMB. The company mainly engaged in ceramic scrap brick, ceramic waste mud, ceramic scrap, mine tailings, tail slag, construction waste environmental recycling, the production and sales of block.
Shandong HeYue ecological new materials technology Co., Ltd. is located in Zichuan District of Zibo, Shandong Province, which founded in August 2014, registered capital of 50 million RMB, which is an enterprise mainly engaged in the environmental protection wall material. Using ceramic waste as the main raw material, manufacturing light AAC block and panel. With the new production line, 500,000 tons of ceramic waste residues annually are expected to be consumed at the end of 2017.
